DJ Kristin Notø

Kristin is a tango dj and a tango dancer. She has Italian Tdj mentors, and is doing sets in Norway and internationally.

Since 1994 she has danced as a follower, and as a leader since 2014. She loves local milongas. About her work as Tdj she says: “Beginners or advanced dancers, 150 couples or 2, metropol or village: all tango dancers deserve tandas which are good to dance to during a harmonious milonga.

I mainly select tandas from the great period between late 1930s and start of 1950s. To complete my sets, the earlier and later period can be represented. The composition of tandas have my attention. Just as important  is the composition of my sets, for instance: Are the big orchestras well represented? When do I play Pugliese? Is the pair of tango tandas keeping the energy up? Which spice should the cortinas add? And so on… The amount of dancers and dance level often change during a milonga. I definitely keep an eye on that.

I am not perfect, but I expect of myself to do my best.”
